
Dutch Computer Magazine "Computer idee" published an article in her May edition about a rogue access point they placed at an airport. They placed an access point called "Schiphol Free Internet Access" at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Of course they were able to capture emails and other information. So when using untrusted (especially wireless) networks, ALWAYS encrypt your data. Also see evil twin attacks.
