Two interesting (security) guides released in the Netherlands

They may only be in Dutch but the following 2 publications might be useful to have a look at for some of us.

The first one is from the Dutch Society of Mayors. They released a crisis management guide (risicoencrisis.nl) in which they processed experiences from past crisises. The guide contains 94 tips and focus points in which preparation, response, aftercare, alarm phase and communication with the media are covered.

The second one is from The Dutch Platform for Information Security (Platform voor Informatiebeveiliging). They released a book called 'Basic knowledge for securing information'. It's available as pdf or viewable in html form online.

The book covers topics like availability, integrity, confidentiality, information architecture, risk analysis, types of threats and physical measures, cryptography but also laws and regulatory compliancy. And yes, this 100-page document is also for free.

I think they are both excellent initiatives!!!
