In a previous post, we posted a video about the hackerspace in Vienna Metalab. It showed visually how it looked and some of the activities inside.
We also mentioned Hackerspace Brussels and according to our logfiles it seemed that the Ministry of Justice was interested in that blogpost. There is still a big misconception around the term 'Hacker'. We are not even going to mention the distinction Blackhat, Greyhat or Whitehat. There are even commercial events called 'Blackhat' sponsored by big corporations. So let's not call the SWAT team when you hear the word 'hacker'.
So let's remind people now and then what we mean with hacking. We loved this video of Eric Michaud, President of Pumping Station: One, a hackerspace in Chicago. In this video, he explains what a hackerspace is, and why you should join one. For more information on Hackerspaces worldwide, visit http://hackerspaces.org/
